Retired Nigeria international centre-back Dele Adeleye has shared his thoughts on Victor Moses’ transfer to Kazakhstan Premier League club Kaysar Kyzylorda.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner has joined FC Kaysar on a one-season deal, following his release by Luton Town at the end of the 2024-2025 campaign.

During his playing days, Adeleye wore the colours of five-time Kazakhstan Premier League champions FC Aktobe, scoring one goal and registering an assist in 34 games across all competitions during the 2015 season.

The 2005 Fifa U20 World Cup star noted that the arrival of a player with international experience will be a benefit not only for the Kyzylorda club, but for all of Kazakhstani football.

“Yes, I heard about this news. I think this is a good transfer both for Kaisar and for the entire Kazakhstan championship. I think Moses’s transfer will give an additional boost to the development of Kazakhstani football,” Adeleye told Meta-ratings.kz.

Adeleye disclosed that Moses did not consult him prior to his move to Kaysar Kyzylorda, though he maintains a cordial relationship with the former Chelsea wingback.

“No, he didn’t contact me. We haven’t seen each other in a while, but we’re still friends. Victor is a good guy, I’m very happy for him.”

Adeleye concluded by dismissing suggestions that Moses moved to Kazakhstan for reasons other than football.

“Moses is a professional. I’m sure he didn’t go to Kazakhstan just to show off or for the money. He’s a real hard worker.”

In addition to Chelsea, Moses has played for several high-profile clubs, including Liverpool, Spartak Moscow, Inter Milan and Fenerbahce.
