The Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu will be meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping in Beijing by the first week of September, Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said this on Tuesday 27 August, 2024.
Although no date has been fixed for President Tinubu’s departure for Beijing, our source reports that a Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit has been scheduled to hold between September 4 and 6, 2024.
President Tinubu and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping will hold bilateral talks at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit.
In the statement Ngelale reveiled that, President Tinubu will engage in a series of meetings with President Xi and 10 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of different major corporations for the country’s economic benefit.
According him the President would also engage in bilateral agreements and sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) as well as agreements to deepen corporations in various sectors, including the green economy, blue economic development, and national planning cooperation among others.
He also said that talks on, satellite technology, refining, oil and gas, and information technology would dominate discusions however, other issues of national, regional and international security, including the completion of the Abuja to Ibadan segment of the Lagos-Kaduna standard railway, would also form part of the discussions.
