President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the new Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and Adedayo Adeyeye as the new Chairman of the NPA Board.

Dantsoho holds a Doctorate Degree in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and a Master’s Degree in International Transport from Cardiff University, UK.
In a statement issued by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Dantsoho has held various positions at the NPA, including Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager in Onne, and Principal Manager of Tariff and Billing.

While Adeyeye, the new Board Chairman, is an experienced lawyer, journalist, and politician. He has previously served as a Minister of State for Works and as a Senator representing Ekiti South.
The President in a remark said Nigerians should expect an excellent leadership in discharge of their duties to enable efficient port services and improved industry outcomes.
