Former Premier League champions Manchester United are looking to offer Napoli Joshua Zirkzee plus cash for Victor Osimhen’s services, Soccernet.ng reports.
The last two seasons have been challenging for Manchester United, and that prompted them to let go of former coach Erik Ten Hag just before the international break.
In his place, they appointed Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim, who started work last week. Amorim’s appointment is expected to cause some changes at the club due to his unique playing style.
Some players will have to leave Old Trafford to make way for others within the next two transfer windows.
One of the players that could move to Manchester United is Nigerian striker Osimhen. The 25-year-old hitman has been consistently linked with a transfer to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Arsenal in the mix. However none of them was able to snap him up from Napoli, and he had to join Galatasaray in a season-long loan deal.
Now, according to Fanatik, Manchester United have stepped it up. They have tabled an offer which includes Zirkzee and cash for Osimhen’s services.
Nonetheless, nothing has been agreed yet, as Osimhen will end the current campaign at Galatasaray. Moreover, Napoli have always been adamant that they want only cash for Osimhen. As such, the Red Devils may have to dole out as much as €75 million to get their target.
