Former Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Martins may be prolific on the football field, but so is his business acumen. Evidence abounds with his several high net worth investments.
Arguably Nigeria’s most travelled footballer and one of Nigeria’s richest, Martins has played in Top 4 European leagues with clubs such as Inter Milan, Newcastle, Birmingham, Wolfsburg, Rubin and Levante. For the Super Eagles, Martins has 42 caps with 18 goals to his record.
He has made good money to boot and splashed them on investments, including real estate, with a portfolio of solid properties scattered across the length and breadth of Lagos particularly in VGC, ChevyView Estate Lekki, old Ikoyi and Victoria Island.
The star striker also said to own an estate in Como Italy which wasn’t acquired cheaply and a posh hotel also in Lagos. His clothing line in the United States also rakes in millions of dollars. But another area the international soccer star has shown more interest is in the lifestyle business.
Martins owns 143 Entertainment, a holding company for his lifestyle business. The outfit owns BayRock Lifestyle, an upscale Gentlemen’s Club in Lekki, Lagos that offers the ultimate nightlife experience with the best exotic Asian, European and a mix of Latino dancers.
Not done with the euphoric success of Bayrock, Martins is said to have expanded his frontiers in the nightlife business with a new premium hangout aptly named Cosa Nostra Patron. Martins’ new Italian-influenced club is located in Victoria Island, Lagos.
