Speaking on the theme “Navigating the Future: The Crucial Role of AI in the Virtual Society,” Senator Ndume noted that the rapid growth of social media has created a significant opportunity for NISMA to make a positive impact. He stressed that artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to transform the country by making youths more productive and encouraging them to contribute to national development.

Senator Ndume also highlighted the importance of social media in shaping the future of Nigeria. “Social media has a higher reach than conventional media such as radio, television, and print media,” he said. “You have a great role to play in encouraging the youths to be more productive, to be less dependent, and to be more futuristic.”

“you have a great role to play in shaping the future of this country, you have a great role to play in encouraging the youths to be more productive, to be less dependant, to be more futuristic, that’s why am glad to deliver this keynote address and also to be part of this “

He also explained that Artificial intelligence or AI has a very important role to play in the today’s world. And it’s important to key into the AI for anyone to be relevant.

“For us in Nigeria where social media is catalysts for communication and advocacy, you are expected to harness AI to drive engagement, innovation and social needs.”

He said that AI and virtual community is no longer a supplement to the physical world, but it’s a co-hosting ecosystem.

Speaking at the occasion the Provost Nigeria Police School of Public Relations
Dr. Emmanuel CS Ojukwu, said that the rapidly evolving digital intelligence (AI) is no longer a distant concept confined to science fiction novels; it is a reality, a tool and, indeed, a partner in how we analyze, create, and Interact within the virtual world.

“The role of social media analysts is more significant than ever. Every click, post, and interaction generates valuable data that reflects societal behaviors, preferences, and aspirations. With Al, we have the power to delve deeper into this data, providing insights that can shape public policies, suite corporate strategies, and even influence cultural narratives. However, with this power comes immense responsibility—to ensure ethical practices, to uphold data privacy, and to use data force for good. “
He said

He explained that the third induction ceremony is another milestone in the journey toward shaping the digital landscape and advancing the role of social media analysis in fostering innovation, connection, and progress in Nigeria and beyond.

“As we gather here today, we find ourselves at the intersection of unprecedented technological advancements and a society” he said.

According to him, “to our inductees, you are the torchbearers of this noble cause. As you take your place in this distinguished body, you are not only becoming part of a professional network; you are also committing to excellence, innovation, and integrity in this digital age. You are the analysts, strategists, and pioneers who will navigate the under territories of Al in our virtual society.”

The event’s focus on AI and its potential to drive national development is particularly relevant, given the growing recognition of AI’s importance in Nigeria’s economic growth.

As the country continues to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital age, initiatives like NISMA’s induction ceremony play a vital role in promoting awareness and understanding of the role of AI in shaping Nigeria’s future.
