FG Praises Nigeria’s D’Tigress After Historic Olympic Win Over Australia

Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, has made history by defeating Australia 75-62 in a thrilling match at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris, France. This is Nigeria’s first win at the Olympics in 20 years, and it marks a significant milestone for the team. Senator John Owan Enoh, the Minister of Sports Development, has praised the team for their remarkable achievement, describing it as a “monumental” moment.

He expressed his pride and excitement, saying that the victory is a testament to the power of determination and teamwork. The Nigerian team displayed exceptional character and resilience throughout the game, taking down a strong Australian team that has won five Olympic medals. The match was closely contested, with the first quarter ending 18-17 in favor of Nigeria.

The Nigerian team then pulled away in the second quarter, winning it 23-11. The third and fourth quarters were equally impressive, with Nigeria winning 10-19 and 24-15 respectively.
