The Cross River State Government on Sunday December 10, 2023 flagged off the 3rd Carnival Calabar Dry Run.
Mr Erasmus Ekpang, the state Commissioner for information, announced this in a statement said the 12km Carnival routes will be partially closed to traffic from 12:30p.m to allow for the required carnival routine exercise.
According to his statement dated December 5, 2023 with the following reference number CR/MOI/AD/189/VOL.IV/223 which reads: “while we solicit your cooperation, be assured that all alternative roads in and outside the capital city will remain open for traffic as usual.”
He stressed that “For the avoidance of doubt, the 12km carnival route will start from Millennium Park 11/11, which will run from Calabar road to Mary Slessor, Marian road and link up Ndidem Usang Iso to MCC and Murtala Mohamed Highway then terminate at the U.J Esuene Sports stadium.” He said.
